What This App Does

The Sorbetto Google Workspace app adds Sorbetto menus, dialogs, sidebars, and workflow actions to Google Sheets. Authorized users can use those Google Sheets surfaces to work with Sorbetto records, submit operational updates, and view reports connected to their Sorbetto customer account.

The app is used by customer operations and finance teams to keep spreadsheet-based work aligned with Sorbetto workflows for inventory, purchasing, production, accounts payable, bill payments, shipments, costing, and reporting.

Why Sorbetto Requests Google User Data

Sorbetto requests Google user data so the app can identify the signed-in Google user, confirm that the user is authorized for the correct Sorbetto customer account, display Sorbetto tools inside Google Sheets, and read or write data in customer-authorized spreadsheets when the user runs Sorbetto workflows.

Sorbetto is operations software for growing product brands. The Sorbetto Google Workspace app lets authorized customer users access Sorbetto workflows from Google Sheets and related Google Workspace surfaces.

How Sorbetto Uses Google User Data

Sorbetto requests Google access only to provide the app experience inside a customer's authorized Google Workspace environment. Depending on the customer's configuration and approved scopes, Sorbetto may use Google user data to:

• Identify the signed-in user.
• Confirm the user is authorized for a Sorbetto customer account.
• Display Sorbetto menus, dialogs, and workflow screens inside Google Sheets.
• Read or write authorized spreadsheet data needed for Sorbetto workflows.
• Create, update, or organize customer-authorized Sorbetto records.
• Support imports, exports, reports, and operational workflows requested by the user.

Google OAuth Scopes Requested

Sorbetto requests the following Google OAuth scopes so the Google Workspace app can run inside the customer's authorized spreadsheet and communicate with the Sorbetto service.

Allows Google to confirm the signed-in user's identity during authentication.

Allows Sorbetto to read the signed-in user's email address so we can confirm the user is authorized for the correct Sorbetto customer account.

Allows Google to provide basic profile information associated with the signed-in user when Google includes this non-sensitive identity scope in the consent flow.

Allows the Google Apps Script project to run the Sorbetto app logic needed for menus, dialogs, workflow actions, and authorized automation inside the spreadsheet.

Allows Sorbetto to display custom menus, sidebars, dialogs, and workflow screens inside Google Sheets so users can interact with Sorbetto from the spreadsheet.

Allows the Google Workspace app to securely communicate with Sorbetto's backend service to submit authorized workflow requests, retrieve authorized records, and keep Sorbetto data in sync with the customer-authorized spreadsheet experience.

Allows Sorbetto to send workflow-related email from Apps Script when a customer uses or approves a feature that sends notifications, exports, or operational messages by email.

Allows Sorbetto to read and write data only in the current spreadsheet where the Sorbetto app is installed or opened, so authorized users can run workflows, imports, exports, reports, and updates in that spreadsheet.

Allows Sorbetto to access Drive files needed for customer-authorized workflows, such as working with the active Sorbetto spreadsheet and related files used for imports, exports, attachments, or operational records. Sorbetto uses this access only to provide customer-authorized Sorbetto functionality.

Data Use and Privacy

Sorbetto does not sell Google user data. Sorbetto uses Google user data only to provide, secure, support, and improve the customer-authorized Sorbetto service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
